CR80 REBUILD GONE WRONG

Just rebulid a cr80 top and bottom end i start it with the choke up and the thing starts screaming i cleaned the carb stil no luck any ideas i was thinking carb needle any help would be great thanks

You have an air leak. Check the plug, it's probably bleach white.

It was an older plug in it so its black but an air leak in the head ? Ot the exhaust cuz the expansion chamber isnt all the way on either like it is but some exhaust is getting out

All your gaskets new and installed properly?

A leak between the carb and cylinder. Start it up, and spray starter fluid or wd40 around the carb boot, and reed block. You should hear it slow down. If that doesn't do it, check the crank seals. If it's smoking a lot, like spy movie smoke screen, it's probably the clutch side, if not, check the flywheel side.

Ill check out the carb and cylinder space and see but i kno the crank seals are good just changed em and it hasnt stayed on long enough to see it smoke i try to shut it off as soon as it starts cuz it sounds like the throttle is pinned

Yes all are brand new and on right

That's the only other place the motor can get air, besides the carb....

Nothing is pinched or folded? Sounds like an air leak. Could be a few different things really. How is the throttle cable? Everything torqued to spec?

All tourqed perfectly throttle cabe is brand new nothing seems to be pinched i have a video but i cant post it here can i ?

Crank seals are brand new and in right whats the slide droped mean ?

Build a pressure tester and see where the leak is.

I had a similar problem and turns out I put the slide in backwards. the bevelled side should be towards the airbox. yeah, dumb mistake, but stuff happens.
