06' 300 xc-w in need of a new pipe.

Recommended Posts

I messed up my pipe a few weeks back trying to climb S.O.B hill (see gratuitous pic).  I just looked on rocky mountain atv/mc and an OEM replacement pipe is over $400.  FMF's are ~ $260 or so, but I'd also have to buy a new pipe guard.

Not sure what to do.  Seems like there's no real power gain to be had with an aftermarket pipe???  A little more torque would be nice if it doesn't sacrifice and mid/top end.

Bike is an 06' - mods are shaved head, decked cylinder, 36mm smart carb and also running the red PV spring.   Riding in the thin air at 9-13Kft.

I did the SRT pipe and have been happy with it - it is thicker than the stock KTM one (like the FMF) but is only $150 and the SRT pipe guard they claim fits both the SRT pipe and the OEM pipe, so seems like it is the same shape and size as OEM so your existing pipe guard would fit the SRT pipe.

Thanks, that looks like a solid option at a nice price, especially when I don't have to buy a new guard.
