2013 CRF450R Air Fork question

Recommended Posts

Hi, has anyone bought a 450R with air forks and only done trail riding with it? If so, how have the air forks held up? Is there any different maintenance  that needs to be done that is different than the normal spring and oil type?

Normal stuff if needed lik any fok, the average rider wont know there is any difference.  I recommend running an seal saver over the forks like the Rock Shoks or similar.

I've had my '13 for 16 months.

No seal issues. Holds air indefinitely- never leaks down. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Fork seemed like it didn't work well until after a good break in session at the track. Small bump Compliance on trails was way better after that.

This summer I changed the oil and discovered it was 15% overfilled from factory. It is way better now with proper level. The spring rate is also lower for the same psi.
