Hence why I run Michelin Slicks on my Supermoto ;)

Is michelin somehow the only company to have not ever been afflicted by some sort of product recall in the history of manufactured goods, or something?

I've had at least two sets of Contis on my drz that were affected by this recall. Neither one had any issues at all and performed wonderfully. Many will attest to the same sort of satisfactory performance. Regardless, Continental has recognized there was possibly a manufacturing defect of some sort and have issued a recall notice, as is standard practice. It doesn't mean they make shitty tires, nor did you have any idea that there would be such a recall which ultimately led to your decision to run a different tire on your bike.

Thanks to OP for the heads up.

No but I have never had an issue with my slicks from Michelin but have had issues with Contis. Tires would always give out 3/4 through a race, my Michys have not ;) and BTW, crashing due to tire failure SUCKS ARSE ;)
