CR125 Rear brake mystery

Recommended Posts

I recently changed my brake pads on my Cr125 as the old ones were almost to metal, I pushed the piston in on the brake caliper to fit the new ones and put everything back together and went out to ride and noticed my brakes weren't working right. If you pump the brake pedal fast it feels like a nice bled brake, if you get on the brake slow it will just drop and bottom out not engaging the rear brake, it's like you have to keep pumping them up for them to work. I took apart the master cylinder and didn't notice any leaks and I've tried bleeding them for hours and I can't fix this problem. Any help?

Sounds like air may be getting back in when you bleed them. I bought one of those brake bleeding hoses with a nozzle in the middle that doesn't let air back in making it easier to bleed without mistakes.
