Best oil for my 2009 rmz250

Hi again guys .

I have always used putoline DX4 10w40 in my previous thumpers and was wondering if that oil would be suitable for my 09!RMZ 250 ?

I have Heard sone people use other brands as certain types can make the clutch slip ?

Also are the re-usable metal oil filters any good or is just better replacing with the standard filters?

The manual recommends MOTUL 300V 10W-40 or an equivalent synthetic oil. Once you pick a certain brand, stick with it. 

 

Also, I am not a fan of the metal oil filters. Paper filters work just as good as long as you change them frequently.

Agree use the paper filters.  As for oil I use Synthetic Rotella T in all our bikes.
