94 kdx250 ignition cover?

Is the ignition cover on a 94 kdx250 the same as the 90-up kx250's? Judging by the gasket they look similar and boysen makes an aftermarket cover for 90-up kx's. I'd be nice to replace the faded plastic oem cover on my kdx.

I doubt it, as the flywheel is bigger.  If it was the same, Boyesen would market it as for both.  Check the part number on Kawasaki.com, under Owner Info, Parts Diagrams.

Pretty sure the KDX250 cover is deeper to accommodate the bigger flywheel.

I didn't even think about the bigger flywheel. I might be switching to a kx ignition anyway so it might work after all. The engine is a hybrid/Frankenstein 94 kdx transmission and cases with a 93 kx crank and top end. The engine is going into a 86 Tecate 3 three wheeler set up for flat track/tt so lighting capabilities or trail riding torque aren't really a concern. Thanks fella's
