What parts does Suzuki actually manufacture themselves, and which ones do they buy from contracted companies?

I was just wondering which parts, and how much of the bike is actually manufactured by suzuki?  I would guess that the engine block, cylinder head, bottom end, crank, and most of the engine components are made in house.  Additionally I would guess that the frame, radiators, swing arm, and seat are manufactured in house as well.  Things like bearings, plastics, suspension, rims, and such are manufactured by other companies.  It would seem unlikely to me that they would manufacture 100% of the bike in house themselves.

I don't know for certain but if I had to guess, most components outsource most of their parts and even some of the labor (ie electronics assembled and shipped to them to be installed on the bike). Some are "unbranded" aftermarket. I would imagine most use this same method.

LOL most are nothing more than rebranded aftermarket pistons.

Exactly, I thought the manufacturer "ART" made the pro-x and OE pistons. I heard it somewhere on the site no idea if it's true lol

I believe you are correct but I don't have any proof either.

My guess would be that they manufacture most of the bike, they sell motors to other company's such as arctic cat.
