Bent levers

Recommended Posts

Well I haven't had my bike over a month and I dropped in the driveway the other day. It hit on the right handle bar end and then must have bent the brake lever as well since it feels out of wack.

So looking ahead I want to get some hand guards and replace one if not both levers soon.

The Brake and Clutch levers from Zeta seem reasonable https://www.thumpertalk.com/shop/Zeta-Pivot-Brake-Lever-DR-Z400-p2006835341.html

Do any modifications need to be done during the install of these levers?

Also the Zeta hand guards seem to be a good investment https://www.thumpertalk.com/shop/Zeta-Armor-Handguards-p2006835335.html

I think I have a stock Rethal Fatbar? 2013 DRZ400SM. Could anyone comment on the size that I need to look into purchasing? Im sorta clueless about this part.

Here is what my lever looks like now. Does anyone think there is an abnormally large gap inbetween grip the end of the bar?

I just installed Zetas  on my S model. They fit into the stock purchases just fine. Took about 5 minutes, including re-adjusting the clutch. So far I really like them. Getting ready to go back up to Colorado, so I'm sure I will test their durability as I will be riding some rough terrain.

I recently got some pazoma levers, i think they're almost identical to zeta. I think they look good & they're great quality well made levers but I don't like the feel of em, they're very square, the brake isnt so bad but the clutch gets uncomfy coz obivously u use it more & it puts more pressure on your finger than the brake so I think I'm goona go back to my cut down stock clutch but keep the brake.

also they're not really any shorter than stock even though they'e supposed to be 3 finger but I keep squashing my little finger with the clutch lever when I'm off road stood up, dont notice on street riding though so that my 10 cents worth

Do agree +1 I have a pair  :thumbsup:  They are best to upgrade, price is very reasonable compared to other brands.

What is different? Seems better, feels better. They are adjustable but even closest level they are still a bit far away. Need small modification for me.

Whatever, if you don't want to pay much, why don't you go with this ;
