Duel sport tyres

Recommended Posts

There's generally no issue with mixing tire types. Quite a few riders run trials tires on the rear with knobbys on the front. I'm assuming you're British or some such so make sure if you're riding it on the street they have the appropriate road registration.

you can do it but if the knobbie police see you on the trail with mismatched tires they will write you a $500 ticket.

I have the Dunlop D606 rear tire (DOT legal) and it's been really good for me, FAR outlasts Kenda and Maxxis in my terrain (hardpack with sharp bits)..   I somehow doubt mixed brands/models would be an issue as long as both are street legal.. Of course the UK drives on the wrong side of the road, so I don't know what other funky laws there may be.
