Braided line covers

Recommended Posts

Well first off, hose clamps have worked for years. I'll still be using but the thing is on the 250l the bottom clamp can hang up on tall grass or bushes I don't think it's a big deal but don't want to find out. The 250l cooling line goes around the front motor and up to the radiator there is a hose cover over part of the hose but not over the whole hose, there again sticks, rocks, whatever could cut the line then your SOL. The route I took I think is the maximum way to protect the hose line plus it looks nice and clean. I'm not good at step by step info so ask question if you want more info. Looks good and great protection for the hose.

But I see a slight issue.....cleaning

However if you were to cover the braiding with clear heatshrink before using the clamps it would be a wipe clean finish similar to brake hoses.

Just an idea.

yeah it would be easy to clean.you should try it I'd like to see how it comes out. I don't clean my bike the only time I clean it is if I need to work on it. Just wait till you see what I'm going to do with the header and muffler, that's a February project.
