Zongshen 110 re/build question

I rebuilt the Zongshen 107 in my pit quad this past spring, using a Brand X Minis race head kit and a 52x69 cylinder. It ran okay, but I could never get my TM28 quite tuned right. I went to start it yesterday afternoon for some icy shenanigans around the jobsite, and it turned about halfway over and stopped. Long story short, the inner valve spring broke, and the valves both bent.

To tide me over until after xmas when my parts fund gets freed up again, I bolted up my heavily ported stock head and clayed it. Clearances are all good, but the combustion chamber is markedly smaller. Anyone advise against running this combo?
