Valley T Breakfast Recommendation Request

Recommended Posts

Heading up to Mikes for the night later this month, and with the day light hours being short, plan is to skip breakfast, getting moving early and eat in Valley T. Anyone have suggestions for good breakfast place in VT? Suggestions would be great and coordinates even better!

Gracias

The taco stand opens around 10:00am.  If earlier, there's a little restaurant west of the gas station.

At the taco stand, Asadero El Rancho, order the Alhambre if you're really hungry.

West of the newer gas station, so somewhere near red arrow on map? Don't remember there being much west of the gas station up by the highway. Sorry if I am not getting it, appreciate the help, good food is big priority for our group!

OK, the place we went was, I think, two blocks south of Reyes Express on your map.  There were three nice ladies cooking.  Orange paint inside on walls.

The taco stand is where your blue track makes a right to the new Pemex.

You cannot depend on anything down there as you probably know.

BTW, the new Pemex had premium.

Perfect, will check it out and post here on how we do. Would not be nearly as much fun if we could depend on it, treasure hunting is one of the best parts about Baja! Premium at new Pemex and liquor store just before it sells backpack sized bottles of Cazadores for the minibar at Mikes!

That is a well-stocked liquor store.

We did a loop last summer from Percebu to VT one night then through Mike's to El Coyote for two nights and a day's ride with Baja Trail Rider's group then down to highway and north just shy of San Vicente we turned right back to VT then back to Percebu. Two XRs and Toyota 4X.  From El Coyote we rode up in the mountains to 8,000 feet with seven riders.

The place by the Pemex that has rooms in the back has a great breakfast.

Hotel del Valle is very good, quite nice rooms, good security, great owner, bonus tacos out front! Make a right at 2nd stop sign (church on corner) heading into town and/or follow the signs.  Gerardo phone 646.142.3461

Mikes is back open and pulling out the red carpet just for us (or the red tile anyway). Was a bit excited for Meling before Mike called back and changed his mind, but with the short day will save Meling for next spring. Thanks for suggestions.
