Yeah I have the graphics template for the graphics and designed it up at home. Took file to work and printed / laminated / cut at work Friday night.

 

Front rim painted black and the rear wheel is taped up ready to paint. ?

Found out another problem today.

 

The cover I brought to replace the plastic one bolts up find and seals round all edges apart from 1 part that's about 25mm long / 1 inch.  The stock plastic cover covers this part. Have contacted seller of the part and about to look up the part number online.

Numbers on the label: Honda / 11351-KRS-730 and W3B13.

 

My engine number is: JE01E 1770756 and Carb is: Keihin PJ15GAG1

 

Starting to think US and UK parts a made different then Australia / New Zealand bikes. Is the 2nd part from states not to work on this engine.

 

 

 

Im just glad  never got round to painting it before test fitting it.

 

Good news is my front wheel is done and removed tape today looks mint.

 

 

EDIT: Just looked up the part number and its only for a 2005 2006 2007 model engine. ?  Ebay listing says 1987-2007

Brought this week. Bearing grease, Antifreeze, Chain lube, Thread lock, Full engine gasket kit.

On the hunt for some plugs, grommets for in the swing arm 32mm diameter and 3mm thick grove.

New parts.

 

Rear rim done last weekend.

 

New engine stop button installed. Yes its a Yamaha YZ button and has the same plugs as Honda. ?

 

My pipe all sorted now.

 

 

 

will be working on engine tomorrow till parents get here for Xmas then I have to leave the shed.

Have you painted rims before? If so, how did they hold up?

Never painted them before but have seen videos on net and people that have done it.

Preparation is key. Clean, clean and clean again and sand, clean, undercoat, light sand, clean, paint, paint, paint and your done.

Will not be hard to do repairs if you still have more paint.

Looking good! Have to ask though, where do you plan on riding this thing once you're done? I know If it was me I'd me too scared to get a drop of mud on it after all the work into it...

LOL yeah maybe just put it in a glass case in my room. ?  Na I'm sure I can find some trail to ride up.

 

All bearings and seals in rear wheels and decreased the engine today.

Update time. Spent most of the last 2 days in the shed. Smell like a mix of grease, oil, beer.

Front wheel on and brake line sorted.

 

 

 

 

About to install radiator hoses and do some other little bits.

 

Waiting on my carburetor rebuild kit to get here and couple of the copper washers for the oil drain plug.

Pipe guard installed. Took ages to do and 2 cuts on hands but got there in the end. Glass of Jim beam & coke went down nice as I was working on it

 

Cannot wait to get her running. ?

Yeah cools nice and is Titanium-Color, Brand is DRC.

Custom CNC cut aluminum number plate. Will be black this weekend and will install number on it a couple days after it dyes.

Bolted into the stock mounting hole and will cable tie it to the bottom to loops on lower triple clamp and also will have a bit of

5mm thick rubber on the center bottom to stop movement / vibrations. The size of it is 95% the same as the stock plastic version.

 

Spacer made to hold it off the triple clamps.

 

Custom radiator grills that I have designed and draw in CAD and mate CNC cut out of aluminum. Did a test one to check size and mounting.

 

Will be drilling the mounting holes in the grills tomorrow and bending the tabs so I can get them mounted.
