Here's a little video clip of me riding the electric CRF2eR alongside the 160 hp electric Kawasaki Teryx4, on my hilltop runway/motocross track. I let brother Bob tear up my grass runway for this video shoot...

Is anyone else as amazed as I am??? I would want an electric bike for hunting, there's literally no noise!!!

Did you build that? This is what Alta should have started with. Taking a dead modern four stroke and building a retrofit kit to make an electric bike..

Yes, my brother Bob and I built this bike back in 2008, about the same time Alta began their 9 year development program.

Bob recently updated the battery packs with new, more powerful battery cells and more than doubled it's range in the same battery enclosures.

A Couple years later we began building a pair of Gen2 electric CRF's but sadly, that project got stalled out by other commitments until now...

Last Sunday we took our updated Gen1 and one of our unfinished Gen2 electric CRF's down to Southern California so Jimmy Fitzpatrick could check them out in person and ride the Gen1 on his Fitzland freestyle playground near Temecula.

He blasted around his freestyle playground for about 20 minutes before it was time to re-charge the battery pack, and had fun with it. He can't wait to try out our Gen2 bike with its predicted 60 hp and nearly 3 times it battery range. He wants to backflip the Gen2 bike ASAP.

Here's a few pictures of our day last Monday at Fitzland.

and jumping our electric Gen1 CRF. It's soft stock suspension was it's limiting factor in jumping it, he said...

We plan to fast-track finishing our two Gen2 prototypes asap, after this recent trip to freestyle heaven...
