any advantage to a longer swing arm?

Recommended Posts

im in the middle of rebuilding a cr85 for my son. i bought the bike used and the owner had purchased the big wheel swing arm because he had considered the swap to the bigger wheels. they never did it and just moved to 125's. would there be any advantage to running the longer swing arm with the small wheels? i posted this in the 150 section because your bikes are very similar

Two sides of the coin: (+) marginal stability gain at speed; (-) marginally slower steering. I'm guessing it would take a very sensitive rider to notice any difference.
