225 Pilot Jet Change out complete

Hi all I am new to the board. Been riding for along time about 32 years id say. I just got a 03 TTR 225 about two weeks ago. It was very cold natured and took a while to warm up. I read this sticky on here about changing out the pilot valve from a 40 to 42.5 so I ordered one for 4.99 shipped of ebay and put it in. Wow, It made a world of difference. It now starts right up without any choke. It warms up very fast and the power is nice and smooth. Very glad to have read up on this little mod. If you have not done it yet, I highly recommend it. Did you change main too out just pilot?

any response for subaruzi's ? If you change the pilot I would think you would need to change the main.

So I swapped just the pilot and out seems to be running ok. Its friends bike so I haven't taken it out and ridden out. Starts quickly and seems to idle and rev fine

Thanks, just bought a 225 it is a hard starter. Harder than TTR 125's I have.
