Ktm 150sx 2014 upgrades?

Recommended Posts

Hello people. I've picked up a few decent sponsors over the winter including: £1000, free suspension respring and revalve from a reputable company here in the uk, free tires, large discount on putoline oils. The bike already has a bored carb with shortened slide for over rev, full hgs exhaust, cylinder ported and modified to the sxs cylinder spec.

£400-£500 will be spent on a full engine rebuild. That leaves £500-£600 to spend on the rest of the bike.

A few options I was thinking of:

-Vhm cylinder head

-a different linkage arm ( read they improve handling

-EBC oversized front disk (possibly getting a good deal from them)

If you have any suggestions for handling or engine wise please post below.

Thanks.

I think I would spend the money on suspension / handling improvements.  The bike, even stock has sufficient power. Great suspension would improve your ability to use the power. I've been running a Pro Circuit linkage, after a good revalve, and I like the handling characteristics.  Keep yourself on fresh tires, top ends and clutches....

I think an oversized front rotor is a good investment too.
