Sprocket size

Recommended Posts

OK cool he's running a 14t front and 50t rear now seems big to me and not enough low end. We appreciate your input

First, I would just try going to a 13t front. Front sprockets are cheap. 15$ or so. See how your son likes it. Maybe it'll be perfect there, maybe not. Is the 14/50 the stock gearing for the kx 85's?

Ok so the smaller front is faster out of the hole or low end and bigger rear is the sane just don't need to adjust both at once, try one before both.

That's right. I would just try the front first because its much cheaper than buying a rear. Once you find what you like, then the next time you need a new chain/sprocket set you can just order a whole kit with the sizes you need. Good luck
