Picked up an 08 450

Picked up a bike to chase my son around on his bike.. Found a super nice, low hour 08 model. The bike is in great shape. I have done a few cheap visual mods to it in the few weeks that I've had it, so thought I'd share.

First day home

New tires, black wheels and short amount of time polishing on frame

White plastic, green spoke covers.

Today's project.. Honda 400 ex thumb throttle and 450r atv cable.. Fits like factory.

Next up is to finish polishing the frame/swing arm/cases. Want to get it up to my 09's level.

Thanks fellas.. I've been a member on here for years, but forgot my password and changed emails since I first signed up years ago.

I grew up riding atv's, so just more comftorable with this setup... Plus it's a great way to keep people from wanting to ride your bike, lol!

Lol, no worries.. I actually like the bike with the red, but want it to be different than my buddies.. I plan on adding some graphics of some sort.

Have you raced at delta ohio before? I raced intermediate 125s back in the day and knew of a thumb throttle guy that rode pretty well. I had a 93 cr125

No I haven't.. I didn't start riding dirt bikes till the last 10 years or so.. That's why I'm so used to the thumb throttle.. Just have more seat time on quads. I plan on running a few of the local woods races this year local, in Southern Indiana.

Thanks guys.. The Yamaha fender was just an extra I had on hand.. Just used it to complete the all white setup.. It will be replaced shortly.

Got some seat time on it today finally and really like it.. Bike feels great, very strong.
