Picture Tread! Where did you all ride this weekend?

Recommended Posts

How were the conditions? Any downed trees ?

Started at the beginning of Lower Chiwawa, up to Minnow Ridge, down Chikamin Creek and back. Easy 40 mi loop.

Very cool. My sis lives in Big Fork if I can drag my bike out there some time I will have to hit that. Did you get to Strawberry Lake?

I cleared 3 trees on Chiwawa.   When you get near the goose creek campground, lots of whoops on the trail.   One suspended tree on Chickamin Creek you have to get off to get under. But the recent rain left the trail like perfect chocolate cake otherwise.

My riding partner wasn't really ready for the sidehill and exposure so I stopped at the 5/7 intersect and came back down. I've yet to run the entire length of the trail. Supposedly it is cleared from C-falls to Seely lake.  A couple years back I went up to Strawberry lake from Kalispell but was turned back by snow shortly thereafter.

We went out toward Whitefish and found 60 or so miles of less exposed singletrack. Seems the riding community keeps the trails cleared, never had to cut anything. Plenty of rain recently, so velcro dirt

Finally got a chance to ride McNutt. Started with a nice warm up going up The Line, Tire Trail, and LMS.. ha! Canadian double blacks are no joke. Here are a few moments I remembered to turn on the GoPro. Think I cracked a rib landing on a pile of logs, but other than that, great weekend. Rad trails.
