v force delta 3 reeds

can some one tell me if i purchase the v force 3 or v force delta 3 reed valves will i also have to buy a different intake/carb boot?? Or can i just saw off the plastic pieces that stick out??

I put them in my 97 CR250 and sawed off what needed to be sawed.  Its part of the directions when you get them.

You saw off the rubber part of the boot, not anything plastic
