Next step is the down tube. Here's the tube, mitered and capped off, with motor mount holes milled. Machined bosses for the front motor mounts.

We bolt the bosses to the jig...

They (UFO) have sink issues too, nothin graphics can't cover

Graphics are not going to cover that shit up. That will still show, and it will bug your nerdy engineering ass so bad you won't be able to hold a line when racing, also ...we both know your spokes will be dirty where they criss cross. Rick is the best, enough said. Edited by h80bens

What are some of the different gear ratios out their?  I'm starting with 14/49.

The left case half is junkImageUploadedByThumper Talk1428029075.274291.jpg

That's the gasket surface by the c/s sprocket that seals the ignition. Luckily I have a motor hoarding brother willing to sell the left case half.

Does anyone know if these are interchangeable or are the case halves machined as a matched pair?

I believe they are inter changeable, but that is repairable with some welding to build it. Up again and then surface it down.

Nice thread, subscribed. Can't wait to get details in the xr80 transmission in the 100, that makes it a close ratio right? I've heard of adding back in the 100 fifth for slightly taller final gear is that right?
