Hot cams shim kit wrong diameter

I purchased a shim kit off Rocky Mountain. It said it was compatible with my 07 kx250f. When I went to use them, the diameter was to big. The stock shims are small enough to sit in the center of the spring retainer under the bucket. Is it okay if the shim is no longer secured like this..? Or should I attempt to send this kit back?

Send it back- they MUST fit properly. The typical 250 shim is 7.48mm and 450s are 9.48mm.

So you are right. I have a 09 KX450F on my account on the website (I no longer have the bike). I guess I was not looking closely enough.

Thanks!
