Is the stock TTR-125 carb a Mikuni?

Recommended Posts

I've got an 02 TTR 125 and have issues with it. Runs good if I can get it running. But the float sticks (I think) and only starts about 50% of the time if I tap the carb. Other 50% just pisses gas onto the ground and won't even come close.

But it has a mikuni carb on it. What was stock? How do I identify a Mikuni VM 24?

If it has a starter cable coming out of the top of the carb, that's an oem Mikuni.

A Mikuni VM and a good place to buy it is here...http://www.nichecycle.com/ncs/categories/fuel-air/carburetors/vm24-512-mikuni-vm24-roundslide-carburetor-by-mikuni.html

Not sure what you mean by starter cable? Choke? The choke is up by the bars.

...and that choke cable starts at the top of the carb on the right side...so, it's a Yamaha oem Mikuni.
