carb. baffle plate

My carburator baffle plate wont stay in place anymore would it be ok to use small ziptie to hold it in place? on 02 XR400 Thanks in advance Paco

Are you talking about the white slosh baffle in the float bowl or the choke plate inside the carb throat?

 

If the slosh baffle, gently heat the little fingers of the baffle that grip the jet tower and bend them in. Hold them in place while you put it in cold water to "set" them in the new position. It should then grip the jet tower more firmly and not come off any more.
