Fiberglass pipe wrapping

Has anyone had any luck cooling down the pipe on their CRF with some of that fiberglass pipe wrap? I'm thinking about wrapping my 2006 crf450r hoping to cool it a bit, keep some of the heat off my leg, maybe deflect some heat from the right radiator too. Any problems after doing this?

No problems

...but it tears easily, so for off road it won't last.

A heat shield from the X added to your header would work better, or aftermarket.

oh sure that stuff works great for lowering the heat radiated from the exhaust.

but beware stuff corrodes pretty quick with that stuff wrapped around it trapping moisture, and then getting the pipe hot as all faulk, and then trapping moisture, and then getting the pipe hotter than it would ever ever be without the insulation.
