FCR rebuild kit

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Went to start the DRZ-S to warm it up for an oil change and service and fuel is leaking from the float bowl gasket at the rear.

I pulled te carb and tried again outside the bike and yup it is the float bowl gasket.

It is a FCR with the external accelerator pump linkage and plunger.

The body has 29F40D07 stamped on the side.

2 questions:

What model is it and where do you recommend where I can find a rebuild kit?

thanks!

This should be the right one for your old slant body;

Jets-R-Us is also another source.

I couldn't get the first link to work, the 2nd takes me to a picture of the kit, but no description. This doesn't include the mid body gasket? Do you have a current source for this? I've read many posts from several years ago that state it's available, but how about now? Edited by BlueHeart

rebuild kits do not include the mid-body gasket.If you need just the mid-body gasket they can be acquired from JetRus,JD Jetting,PowerBarn,Shindy and K&L Supply among others as a completely separate item.Fcr's  are not intended to be separated at the mid-body for a normal rebuild except by specialty shops.

That's my next question. Where do I find such a specialty shop? (I live in the boonies). Is there a tutorial I can watch for the rebuild and/or midbody teardown posted or linked here? Edited by BlueHeart
