2000 yamaha yz426f jetting issue

Recommended Posts

Need some advise on how to properly jet my bike. What size of jets should I get if I ride at around 2500 to 3500 ft above sea level?

First, you need to replace the wear components in the carb, if not done so already, and service the carb for corrosion and debris.

Needle jet

Slide plate

Slide plate seal

Apump diaphragm

Now that you have replaced the components that if left worn out would make proper jetting impossible, you can fine tune the jetting.

There is no reason to change jetting if it runs well now.....go to the FAQ section above for jetting information on your specific bike model and year, copying others successful results.
