Ktm 250 SX front sprocket troubles help!

Recommended Posts

Hi i have a 2009 Ktm 250sx and i had the usual leaky counter shaft seal. Replaced the seal, collar, and the o ring with the thinner ring in the all balls replacement kit. I cannot get enough clearence to put the cir clip back on. I have tried many things and just cant seem to get enough gap. I also noticed when i pulled the sprocket off someone had covered the entire end of countershaft, clip and sprocket in glue. Ever had this issue before??

No but you might want to check out the ktm smoker threads. You should find something in their.

I use a socket and hammer to tap the sprocket in...or work at it with a small screw driver to get the clip in if its tight. Usually a non KTM sprocket is too thin and leads to leaking, have not heard of one that is too thick. Is the collar in the right =way with the groove to the o ring?
