My son was so bummed 2009 ktm 50 sx jr? bought it on craigslist 1400.00 Drove 5hrs round trip the guy said it ran great! i called him and he was hella kool said i can go for my cash or he can give me some back since he knew i rebuild one before! well i did finish my rebuild on a kx65 a month ago! (not no KTM ) i gave it some thought and of course i asked my son! boy that was a bad idea! Fix it DaD!!! man what a mess and lets not forget i had to deal with my "Wife!!!" after all this!! what did i get myself into…. heres all my problems!!! Cracked cases! She was leaking on the track! Counter shaft tooth missing! Thinking the tooth cracked the cases! Transmission bearings bad! washer was stuck underneath the kick starter spring! He said he had the spring replaced by Nor Cal Motosports! Water pump empeller was shot to shit! don't think it ever spun!!! Top end was shot to shit too! heres some photos! Gilcrf250L Posted November 10, 2015 Parts are in Fellas! Boys Stoked!!!! there was a recall on the water pump! So did a full rebuild there! Water pump,empeller,bearings,etc.. TopEnd Kit Engine Cases! Crazy was so stoked it came with all bearings and seals installed! Ok here was another big problem! Ktm did a lot upgrades on the 09 crazy! the cointer shaft was missing a tooth! so i ordered one and of course it was a lot bigger so i was forced to order the main shaft...
