Stripped oil drain plug on my 14

I went to put the drain plug back in and stripped it I guess, Im assuming it was already stripped considering a used literally no force.

How should I go about this?

fix it with a time-sert. much better than a heli coil.

I have repaired them using an oversize stainless bolt end cut to the original thread length, and drill and tapped back out to the original thread.. Then tap the case to the outer thread size and use permanent Loctite to secure it..

A lathe is your friend here.

X2 be sure you drill and tap it straight or you may have sealing issues.

Measure max length you can drill before hitting something internally and put a depth stop or marking on your drill.
