Kx 250 2003

Recommended Posts

Hello guys

Hope everthing is great whit all of you

I am rebuilding a KX250 from 2003 and i have some questions

I am thinking of buying a kxf as well so i can use the suspension at least the forks. What kxf should i buy to have the easiest conversion? How abort the shock, is IT possible to get one on the kx?

Also i would like to change the breakes in front i guess there Will be no problem when i use the forks of the kxf? How about the rear break, can i get IT to fit?

I would be so greatful for some answears

Thanks

Niklas from Sweden

The later shock uses a longer clevis.  Theres not much point in swapping though.  Theres nothing the later shock can do that you can't get from the stock 46mm KYB shock you have now.  I actually like the 03 forks too.  Stiffening up the mid valve keeps them from bottoming and softening the base seems to improve cornering.

I have never tried the later twin chamber forks.  I have a set in the garage off of whichever year 450 had the factory DLC tubes but I may never bother fitting them unless I destroy the OC KYB's.
