Dead bike

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! So I'm new to the forum and could use some assistance.. I own a 1994 DR650 with a modified air intake, DG exhaust and rejetted carb, with a few other basic things. The problem that exist happens in Thursday while I was riding and the bike shut off on me while I was riding and refuses to start up again.. I've checked the kick stand switch, cut off switch, spark plugs and it has fuel, I think maybe the carb is flooded perhaps? Could really use some help.

Troubleshooting: Fuel supply check. Make sure there is enough fuel reaching the carburetor from the fuel valve. Loosen the drain screw located under the carburetor. Drain the fuel from the carb into a container. Place a empty container under the carb. Turn the fuel valve to the PRI position and see if fuel flows from the drain hole.

Ignition system check

Remove the spark plug and reattach it to the spark plug leads. Push the start button, if the ignition system is operating properly, a blue spark should jump across the gap.

If this doesn't work consult your Suzuki dealer for repairs.
