Tire and Gearing question?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2015 CRF 250R that is my woods bike and was curious what was the best all around tire to run in hare scrambles and such, mainly rocks and mud and I feel like its a touch high geared for the woods as it still has factory on it. Any and all help would be appreciated!!!

For gearing, the least expensive and easiest to swap would be a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket, and you can usually get away with just a chain slack adjustment. 1 smaller on the front is equivalent to 3 larger on the rear. Swapping the rear may require a longer chain or adding another master link to length it, depending on your current adjustment range.

You'll def notice the change with the smaller front.

I'll let someone else recommend a rear tire. But I will say the M59 front is a great tire.
