92 yz250 value?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had recently took on a project of fixing up a 92 yz250. I had a shop do all the motor work since I was unfamiliar with it. What do you guys think the bike is worth? I'm looking to sell it but am having a hard time doing so. Everything is in top shape ready to go. NADA has said it is worth anything from 1500-1800 and kbb has it around 950.

To be perfectly honest that is a $500 bike IF it's in great mechanical shape. I've got a 1993 yz250 I paid $400 for, a 1997 wr250 I paid $700 for, and a 2003 yz250 I paid $700 for. You'd have to find somebody who wants that bike really bad to pay that much.

These 90s 2 strokes make fantastic stash bikes. For under $1000 you can have a pretty modern bike (disc brakes, usd forks, powerful engines) to leave somewhere to ride. My 1993 is going to my brothers house so I don't have to transport a bike 750 miles every time I go down to ride. Leave it with trusted family or friends and enjoy riding somewhere totally different than what you are used to. Edited by Bricktop72
