New tubes when you get new tires?

Do you guys get new inner tubes when you replace your tires?   Why or why not?

I've never replaced my tubes and I've been through at least 10 sets of tires...why waste your money. Just replace when you see signs of cracking around valve stem.

Depending on condition of existing tube. I pull them apart then decide based on condition.

Same. Usually by the time the valve stems starts looking corroded, I swap them out. I also use HD tubes, so they tend to hold up longer.

the thing about it 'for me' is unless you already have the tire off before you buy, you dont know what condition the tube is in .. its not uncommon for them to have a rough spot or a piched spot that doesnt look too good .. then its back to the ordering board to waste more money on shipping a damn tube .. i have a couple of extras now from where i have reused the old ones .. but you never know .. all i can tell ya ..

Well, since you stated in your tire thread that the tires were 15 years old, then yes, replace the tubes.

 

Otherwise, it's a good idea to inflate and inspect your tube when replacing tires.

When the 606's went on, new, heavy duty tubes went in.
