Motocross VetTix.org to Offer Free Admission to Military Veterans During 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

MORGANTOWN, WV - November 11, 2015 - (Motor Sports Newswire) -  In the spirit of Veterans Day, MX Sports Pro Racing and the National Promoters Group (NPG), in partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, have announced that the initiative to provide free admission for military veterans will return for the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. All available tickets will be made available through VetTix.org, a national non-profit, non-governmental 501c(3) tax-exempt organization.

A total of 50 tickets to each of the 12 rounds that make up the 2016 Nationals will be donated to Vet Tix and made available at no cost to both active duty, retired military veterans and families of those KIA. Tickets to each round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will become available two weeks prior to its respective date on the schedule via VetTix.org.

Vet Tix boasts partnerships with nearly all major sports leagues, including Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Football League and National Hockey League. Additionally, respected sports entertainment franchises World Wrestling Entertainment and Professional Bull Riders have also worked with Vet Tix to provide veterans and their families to opportunity to attend marquee events across the country for free.

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross was and remains one of the first prominent motorsports properties in the country to offer this one-of-a-kind service to all veterans of the armed services, and is proud to enter its fifth year of partnership with the Veteran Tickets Foundation.

Vet Tix is a national nonprofit organization based in Phoenix that provides free tickets to veterans and active-duty members of the military and their families. U.S. Navy veteran Michael Focareto developed Vet Tix in 2008, and since then the organization has given away more than 1 million tickets to veterans nationwide.

All active, retired military, honorably discharged veterans and families of those KIA can create an account on VetTix.org to receive emails and reminders about when 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship tickets become available. More information can be found at VetTix.org.

The 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will kick off on Saturday, May 21, with the Hangtown Motocross Classic in from Prairie City SVRA in Sacramento, California. The fastest riders on the planet and the world's most prestigious off-road motorcycle championship will continue its 44th season by visiting the country's most iconic facilities before crowning a pair of champions from Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on August 27.

Tickets to the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will go on sale beginning on Monday, November 23. Stay tuned for special promotions and discounts throughout the holiday season.

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, features the world's fastest outdoor motocross racers, racing aboard the best bikes each factory offers, on the roughest, toughest tracks in the world. The 12-rounds series begins at Hangtown in May and ends at Indiana's Ironman Raceway in August. It includes stops at the premier motocross racing facilities in America, with events in California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Michigan, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington, New York, Indiana and Massachusetts. The pro riders race on Saturday afternoon, with competition divided into two classes: one for 250cc machines, and one for 450cc machines. The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is managed by MX Sports Pro Racing, the industry leader in off-road power sports event production.
