This isn't right.....

Recommended Posts

So, took the clutch cover off of my yz today. Not happy. The basket has some serious grooves in it. Unfortunately, every clutch company's site ive gone to doesnt list my year (1980). Any suggestions?

Nope. That'll work for the 250. Not the 125. Having said that, turns out the clutch assembly for the yz125g is the same as the '82 yz100

If you can't find a replacement you could file it down flat and weld aluminum back on so that it is the correct distance.

It's supposed to be that way, it's a Locker. When you release the clutch it rides down those ramps into the grooves and locks in. I think they made those in Detroit!

So its a competition now? What do I win? A new clutch, maybe?

Bragging rights while camp fire surfing for sure! Or pick what's behind door 1-3.
