MichaelRides Posted November 11, 2015 I hope I'm at the correct forum. I just discovered that GIECO will not be renewing my motorcycle insurance as of March 2016. Reason? I and my son complete in hare scrambles and enduros. I called Progressive and was told that “RACING” was an extreme danger and they would not insurance any of my four motorcycles if anyone in my household took part in RACING. My question is; do any of you know if there is an insurance company out there that offers coverage for my motorcycles knowing that my son and I participate in the “extreme danger” of RACING? Thanks
dennis391 Posted November 12, 2015 I don't think anyone will cover anything evolved in racing. I have State Farm and they say they will NOT cover the bike while racing...but if anything ever happens to the bike just say I was "riding". Kinda like they won't cover a vehicle 4 wheeling but anything else your good to go.
William1 My Rides (2) Posted November 12, 2015 Many insurance companies will not cover personal vehicles of racers. You may want to look in to a place like K&K (for example) http://www.kandkinsurance.com/Pages/Home.aspx Chubb too, can probably cover you. (They used to cover me back in my day) Racing is expensive and the costs flow over to all parts of your life.
