Ttr125 wife build

Recommended Posts

Just wrapping up my 450 build, wife wants her bike done. 2001, stock motor, Big Gun pipe and Twin Air filter... Bike is super clean but wife wants nice... No problemo

Gone over a ton of forums and threads and settled on Rm85 suspension, wheels and disc brakes. Additionally all bolts, axles, nuts, factory new. New rotors, pads and stainless brake lines. All bearings new pivot works, the other popular brand that is priced cheaper leaves too much slop especially the swingarm.

New chain guide and slider plus Renthal 428 chain and sprockets. Shock spring rate should suffice for 115lbs. I have two different linkage to play with.

Forks will rebuild, changing triples for billet plus arc controls. Already has Renthal bars on it. All new custom graphics and fender plastics.

The seat is an issue as we all can attest. Considered a yz85 seat as height is an issue at 5ft 3. New cover being made, thinking just adding some rebond pad over the seat pad after I cut it down a touch and reshape. Will see...

Motor will stay stock, runs too good to screw with it and with new suspension she can use the bike better.

What I have yet to find is very clean pictures of linkage attachments to the frame.. Anyone have some please show them. Just wanting to get a good visual before I dig in.

Working on brake master cylinder program for plasma plotter and a few reinforcement triangles and linkage tabs. Also bought a cradle plus oversized billet pegs. Once done well go to powder coat back to original color blue including cradle...

nice! i did a lot of work on my 01 for laughs this summer. put a high comp piston bbr cam yz80 carb with a pod filter, then installed a full fmf pipe. put yz 80 old style forks with a front disc on it. the thing absolutely rips! yours looks like it's going to be a little less slapped together however...
we've got a local series that we race the ttrs/klx140s and crf 150s in. they call it thumper class. http://imgur.com/a/zXcL8heres a link to the album of it, dont mind the ridiculous garage, we work on a lot of stuff at once. :banghead:
