Speedometer correction for motard conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, 3 months owner here of 250L.

I've used the "search" tab and didn't see related topics.

I've ordered from a local store here (Manila) a set of hubs and rims from a 250M, and plan to swap occassionaly from dirt to motard.

Since the L is rolling on 18 and 21 rims, is there a way to re-calibrate the speedo to get an accurate reading when I swap to 17's? Or do I just have to install Vapor Tech like products?

Thanks in advance.

If you use the stock gearing with the L wheels the stock 250M gears will be fine. it uses a 39 tooth rear sprocket to achieve the same overall gear.

There are lots of links about the DRD speedo corrector most members are using since they run different gearing.
