Recommended Posts

im building my RM250 k7 (34) hours on it..

with a RMZ front end.. not talking about the plastics..

its allready mountet with a x-trig for the new 48 mm showaforks..  but heres my question

the 2012 forks are 48mm instead of the older 47.. are they better than the previus 47mm ? and are the SSF 2013 48mm better than the 48mm 2012 old type

thanks..

All depends on what you want to put into the forks.

The SFF forks can be a tad more difficult/ confusing to tune, but I feel they offer a little more adjustment externally.

The traditional spring fork is a little easier to work with for the back yard mechanic. It will be no different than anything else you are used to. Just my take on things. They will both perform similarly once tuned correctly. Just comes down to finding the better deal.

The CC 47mm showas are by far my fav fork for any full size mx or offroad bike. Easy to tune tons of variables and lots of available mods, great reliability even with neglect.
