OdysseyOfJ Posted November 21, 2015 This may sound like a noob question, but are dirt bike rims interchangeable? I have an XT350 that really needs new rims (flaking) and know that it's a 36 spoke. Can't manage to find any brand that can support it outside the stock DID. From my understanding, the spoke holes are different in angles, but outside of that, can a 36 spoke rim (meant for a specific bike), same diameter and width, technically be used for another bike? jjktmrider My Rides (10) Posted November 22, 2015 Ya, usually a rim with 36 holes will work on other 36 hole hubs ,,,,, however some brands use different lacing patterns so the hole will be angled differently. Some just egg the hole or run a drill bit in the holes and then tip it to slot the holes, but that is shit work and cobbling. Usually any Yamaha will always fit other yamaha , suzuki on other suzuki's ect.. You may be able to useXT600 sets(rear disc on 350?) or maybe the XT225 or 250 . I've not had any of the smaller bikes to know which are similar/same.
mikeylikesit Posted November 27, 2015 I just put a 2015 YZ250FX rim and spokes on my 2000 YZ250 hub. Perfect fit.
