Victoryian Posted November 21, 2015 Hey all, I just picked up this bike for dirt cheap and it runs but it has a couple problems with it, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out and point me in the right direction on how to start working on this thing. So far I've only been able to get the bike to turn over with spraying break clean or starter fluid into it, and once it gets going it dies about 10-15 seconds later. I don't know much about carbs but maybe it needs to be re-jetted? or rebuilt? I don't know. I'm going to buy a new fuel filter for it and spark plugs, and while I'm at it change the oil, maybe that will help. Another issue is that as it sits, it's stuck in 3rd gear, it can shift up into 4th and back down but it wont go into 2nd. Lastly it pretty bad exhaust leak coming from the header. So in short the list is, -exhaust leak -wont downshift out of third -dies after 10-15 seconds of running Advice on where to start? Thanks all! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
