Damaged crankcase, replacing...

Recommended Posts

Foolishy damaged my LHS crank case whilst locking the engine to remove the clutch basket nut!

Finding out of it can be repaired in a few days but I doubt it so will probably end up replacing it.

Question is, are 1998, 1999, 2000 models all the same when it comes to crankcases?

There's a few for sale on eBay but not for my year, mines a 1999 model.

Does anyone know if there'll be any differences between the years?

The LHS being the stator side, right? The RHS is the clutch side. Always look at it as if you're sitting on the bike.

I think all the changes had been made by the '98 year model, so '99 and newer should be the same. Maybe someone will confirm that.

Go to the bikebandit website, and put the partnumber in the search box.  You can get a list of the year models (or rather parts fiches) the part number applies to.  I believe this part is the same for most/all year models, but you should check.  You have to press "details" or "info" or similar on the webpage, it is not complicated to get this list.

Ok found the part numbers and checked, turns out they're all the same throughout the years. Thanks
