joman2055 Posted November 23, 2015 I am helping out a friend and putting a new piston in his 2009 450R. The problem is that I know my 2002 engine and have a service manual for that generation but I do not have anything for this bike. I was hoping someone could help me out and give me the relevant torque specs. Also, his rebuild kit came with some blue rubber nub looking deals, I suppose I will figure out what those are when I pull it apart, any clues? Any other tips or weird things on this engine? joman2055 Posted November 24, 2015 Welp, he thought he had a blown head gasket because it was puking coolant out the over flow. He tried a different cap and that did not cure it. He brought the bike over and showed me what was happening. He had the over flow tube connected to the barb for the crossover...5 minute fix. Still needs a top end though.
