Shavings in transmission

Recommended Posts

So I picked up a old 1986 kx 125. It didn't have plug it in when I got it. (Got it for super cheap) stopped on the way home and got a plug for it. Cranked it up and when I pulled in the clutch and shifted down it just stalled tried it again and again still it just lurched forward and stalled if I didn't give it any gas. So I took the clutch apart and found that all the clutch fibers and steels were stuck togeather. I cleaned them up and put it back togeather. Cranked it up pulled the clutch in and shifted to 1. It worked normally, just a lot of top end slip. Also when I shifted I had to tap the shifter back down then pull up on it to go from like 2 to 3. I decided to change the trans oil and there was a bunch of oil shavings that came out. So I tore it down and cant see any visible wear where the shavings could have come from. Any ideas?
