Virginia Taskers Gap

Recommended Posts

Looking for some help here. Going out here for my first time this Saturday. We are coming from Williamsburg area. I have read some old threads and it talks about good single track about a mile past the entrance. Please help me out where to park and ride. We will have a good solid group of solid b riders out there if any buddy would be willing to show us around.

There are at least two good parking areas indicated on the official map and on the website.

You will get a current paper map when you buy your pass/wristband. Both are off VA state route 675 where it crosses over Massenutten mountain. Nearly all the local area gas stations, 7-11, etc. sell the permits.

This map shows "staging areas" which are the parking lots.

IMHO, the Peters Mill side is not that interesting for folks on bikes, its more of a Jeep trail. The single track stuff is on the South side of 675, which is the Tasker's Gap side.

I'd love to show you around, but I'm booked, and about 3 hours away. Have fun. Remember its really rocky, so lower your tire pressure appropriately.
