CHANGING TANK COLOUR

I'm working on an 04 DRZ 110 that I want to surprise my 10 year old son with for his birthday (its not until February).  I wanna clean it up a bit, so I've ordered some new black plastic and a monster energy graphics kit. (his absolute favourite) I want to change the tank color from yellow to black, but I am on a budget and don't wanna spend $75 on a new black one.  Has anyone tried painting a tank?  What about a black vinyl wrap??  Any ideas would be appreciated.

DO NOT PAINT! It would look like crap IMO and would peel from overflow of gas in the tank. If try to dye it. Or check out eBay you can find a cheap one possibly

Order black vynil on the internet and then cut to size? The plastic dip spray works okay but will be worn after a few drops and I think looking for a black tank would be your best bet though.

Yeah, the dying seems cool, but would take a ton of time, and make a bit of a mess. I'm gonna find my best price and pull the trigger on eBay...
